The day before Midsummer the first Mus-Max wood chipper demo day in Estonia took place at the old Raadi airport in Tartu. Event was visited by more than half a hundred leaders of the wood chip production sector from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland. In addition to the Balmax team, representatives of the Mus-Max factory, who could be asked for practical advice, and the Volvo Estonia team were also present. This time the event was organized specifically for professionals.
On the site were introduced most popular set among Estonian wood chipper clients: Mus-Max WT11 series wood chipper, which is working on Volvo FH16 engine.
In addition, participants were able to see how the WT11 series wood chipper, which is mounted on a Scania chassis with a separate engine and can be rotated on its own axis, works. The chipper is equipped with a CAT C-18, 750 hp engine. Such machines are almost never sold on the Estonian market, so it was a unique opportunity to see how this new chipper, which made a stop in Estonia and is handed over to a Finnish customer, works.
In the last two years, sales of tractor chippers have increased significantly. This is why the Mus-Max 9WT series tractor chipper was also shown to the visitors. It is smaller than the other series on the show, but is still powerful and reliable and is well suited for example for farmers, who would like to diversify their business in winter.
All wood chippers sold by Balmax have high-quality Kesla forest lifts and HSP Gripen grapples, which were also available to see at Raadi. In addition, Volvo Estonia OÜ was present with its renewed Volvo FH 6x2 truck. Volvo continues to be the most popular truck in the Baltic's for which wood chippers are built.
